Stir Crazy

We finally all got to get out of the house together today to run errands. After double-digit-below-zero temperatures for much of the last week, today's high of 32 degrees felt balmy.

Here are a few pictures from the last few days as we were stirring crazy inside.

A few weeks ago we read Max and Mo Build a Snowman from the library. We decided to follow the directions and build our own, since at the time we had no snow on the ground to work with.

He's sitting on top of Leo's dresser. It used to be the changing table, but we don't need that function any more. Over the dresser is Leo's pirate poster that he got for Christmas. He's named the pirate Harold and Harold's job is to protect Leo from monsters (like Randall) and keep general riff-raff out of his room.

The other night while Jeff was making dinner Leo was hanging out and playing with the container of brown rice. He also insisted on wearing his hood up in the house. It wasn't that cold!

Mama was trying to catch a cat nap before dinner that same night because she had a headache. Leo decided it was a cozy spot to read a book.
