I think this month will win for month with the fewest posts since we've been blogging--unless we start cranking out the posts pretty quick. I can't even say for certain what is taking up all of our time, except the usual things--school, work, play.
Leo's last swim class of the session was last night, and just as it ended a tornado warning was declared and everyone in the building was directed to the locker rooms--so Jeff and Leo went to the men's to change and Molly and I hung out in the girls. What a fun 20 minutes! Not. But, even though the storms were really bad and there were tornadoes in the vicinity, Leo and Molly both slept well. Well, Molly didn't sleep well, but it wasn't because of the storms--she just hasn't slept through the night for the last several months. Lately she's been wanting to eat. Or wakes up who-knows-why and doesn't go back to sleep until you bring her into our bed (I know--she's in charge--but you try being in charge at 3 in the morning).
Molly's one-year checkup was last week--she's doing great. She's still in the 7-10% range for weight and height, and 50% for head size. But she is proportionate and doesn't seem tiny. She's 18lbs and some ozs. and I don't remember how long...I'll have to look it up. She's babbling a lot but not saying too many words--"go" and the occasional "mama". She just started taking independent steps in the last day or so--5-6 at a time usually, although we've also seen as many as 10. She's still pretty unsteady on her feet though. She's got two bottom teeth and three on the top.
Leo is still doing great in kindergarten and his teachers have recommended that he go to 1st grade even though he only had the semester of kindergarten. We'll see what the Urbana Schools say when we go to register him later this month.
Molly will be starting in Infant room 3 at the end of the month. For various reasons we think it would be good if she can have at least some time in daycare and we want to secure her spot there in the event that Jeff lands a job soon or for the fall. Even if he doesn't, we'll keep Leo home for the summer and Molly can still go.

Love that red hair!
And don't beat yourself up about taking Molly to bed at 3am. I did the same thing because it was better than stumbling around for an hour with a shrieking baby. Trust me, she'll get over it and sleep in her own bed again - hopefully soon!
