You don't say?

Some Leo-isms from the last few days:

While having a squirt gun fight with Aunt LauraLynn: "Stop watering me!"

While watching me wrap meat to put in the freezer: "Are we going to mail that?"

After I told him that I had bought a particular pair of earrings a long time ago: "When dinosaurs were alive?"

After being told that he couldn't watch TV: "We need some middle of the imagination pyramid."*

*Jeff has devised an imagination pyramid, that like the food pyramid, helps Leo understand how to prioritize his fun-time activities.

Edit from Jeff: TV, computer time, and movies, like fats and sweets, are at the top of the imagination pyramid -- ideally things not consumed every day, and in limited amounts. Reading or listening to stories sit at the bottom, by providing an idea foundation for other creative works. General play with toys falls here, too. Dramatic play and crafty projects, including writing your own stories, coloring, Play-doh(TM), and so on, are the middle tier -- not the majority of your time, but much more than things with screens. it's about the best explanation I can come up with without trying to create a drawing of it (which, for those who know my art skills, would be pretty frightening).
