checkup notes etc

Yesterday Leo had his 6 mo. checkup and shots. Weight: 16 lbs, 15 oz. (45%), height: 26 1/4in (49%). These numbers amuse me greatly--he's astoundingly average, and yet many people who see him comment that he is big! He was a champ about the shots again--only cried for about a minute, if that. He's otherwise in good health and we don't go back for another 3 months (and no shots then).

I stayed home with Leo Thursday and Friday because he had a bit of a stomach bug (the Bug had a bug, we know). He was in good spirits, but not good to take him to daycare. Last night he developed a bit of diaper rash (his first) from the diarrhea, so he's not in very good spirits today--mostly listless, and a bit cranky later in the day--with that on top of the usual post-shots fever. But, he mostly slept last night, and hopefully will tonight as well.

Jeff's BD is tomorrow, the big 3-0. I can't believe all he's done by such a young age. And I can't believe we've been dating/married for more than 1/3 of his life (11 years). Leo doesn't get the concept of birthdays yet, but he may or may not have a present for his papa.
