Today you are 11 months old. Today (and yesterday) you and mama stayed home sick. You have an ear infection and hand-foot-mouth disease (AKA coxsackie virus). You've been taking good long naps, but aren't too interested in food at the moment. Mama's also sick with a cold--the several days that you kept mama and papa up most of the night leading up to really being sick finally hit.
This week you are supposed to be transitioning into the next room at daycare, but we'll see if you end up going in tomorrow or not. Ms. Melissa says Ms. Ete cries every time a baby moves out of their room. Ms. Gayla seems like a lot of fun though and she always makes you smile, so we'll see how it goes.

Ms. Melissa, Ms. Monica, and Ms. Ete: your daycare ladies
You are really good at cruising now and are pretty sure you'll be walking by Thanksgiving or Christmas. You also have the sippy cup down pat. We also think you are starting to point to things you want, and once we thought we heard you say "up." You chatter away in your own little language. You throw fits when we take away something you want (e.g., something you aren't supposed to play with, or a toy that you are clutching as we leave daycare).
You love to play peekaboo and will even cover yourself up to start the game. Otherwise you mostly play with things around the house like books and containers. We have got to get you something with wheels that you can push for your birthday, since this weekend you have started moving the highchair and dining chairs across the room.
You are still a smiley happy boy, and as one pre-teen onlooker mentioned this weekend "you've got a big brain!" (and no hair).
We love you charlie brown,
Mama and Papa
